Resort Development

The staff of Reeves Consulting, LLC has completed over $75 million dollars of constructed projects for a major, eastern United States ski resort.  Projects completed for the resort include construction of two, residential condominium buildings, two recreational facilities, addition of two new bubble chair lifts, and numerous adventure activities such as a mountain coaster, zip-line tours, miniature golf, and Segway tours.

Reeves Consulting continues our work with resorts with ongoing projects related to building renovations, redevelopment and lift upgrades.  Our involvement includes permitting, renovation design, site/civil/stormwater design, lift upgrades and skitrail layout.

Forensic Engineering

Insurance companies and legal teams have a unique set of needs when it comes to determining the failure mode of a given project.  Reeves Consulting, LLC has completed projects including: 

  • a water treatment system in Hawaii
  • reconstruction of a High School in Louisiana
  • catastrophic failure of a hazardous waste treatment system resulting in serious injuries at a location in New Hampshire
  • Wastewater treatment system failure at a brewery
  • erosion and slope failure analysis of a hazardous waste landfill in New York.
  • stormwater runoff infiltration under a gymnasium floor at a private school in Massachusetts
  • analysis to determine cause of a wastewater system failure at a brewery facility in northern New Hampshire

Site/Civil Engineering

The proper planning and development of a property has many elements.  Reeves Consulting, LLC has worked on projects throughout the northeast including:

  • A twelve lot subdivision including utility placement in southern Maine
  • Initial planning for a 30 acre property in central Vermont
  • Ongoing land management projects, permitting, and feasibility studies for a major resort in central Vermont
  • Redevelopment site/civil/stormwater design and permitting for a confidential ski resort client.
  • Retaining wall and site civil design for a residential property in Ludlow, Vermont

Water System Management

Water system management can often be a complex operating scenario.  Reeves Consulting, LLC has experience in working with water system operators and owners to refine their ownership structure, working with the Public Service Department, and improving their operations.

  • Developing and ownership structure for a system now owned by two condominium association and the host ski resort, central Vermont.
  • Ongoing operations assistance for a condominium association owned water system at a Vermont ski resort
  • Treatment system upgrades and financing for the Bull Run Water System in central Vermont
  • Water system operations for the Black River Overlook community in Ludlow, Vermont

Permitting and Permit Compliance

Once a project is conceived and the planning is complete, securing the necessary permits from state and/or local authorities is the next step.  Reeves Consulting, LLC has experience at both the local and state levels in securing permits.  Then comes the task of maintaining your project in compliance with those issued permits.
